Ofloxacin, marketed under the brand name Ofaxin, is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic used to
treat various bacterial infections. Commonly, it is prescribed for conditions such as pneumonia, bronchitis, skin infections, sexually transmitted diseases (e.g., gonorrhea, chlamydia), urinary tract infections, and prostate infections. It can also be used for infections of the bones and joints.
